I did not have time to make it and I can't polish it even though it's my favorite game jam game I have made so far.
How does your game tie into the theme?
Player ventures through dark realm in order to fulfill their quest of placing lamps that will bring back light,

browser version doesn't work
I hope you try to optimize this for the web after the jam as it looks really cool!
I can confirm it works on Linux– I think you’ve achieved a really interesting aesthetic!
Browser version didn't work but the downloadable did. I really like where this is going. I struggled to know what I was getting hit and when I was hitting other things. I'm not sure the XP bar worked right, at one point I was able to place 5 lamps at once, then it was a while before I could do another one, and then I was able to place 2 again.
The "How to Play" didn't scroll, or let me back to the menu so I had to restart. Having some kind of indicator on the lamps buff would have been nice too. I appreciate the controller support, but couldn't navigate the menus with it, though, as you said, you ran out of time. Still, great work, I can see this really coming together with more time.
I dunno what happened, but I can't play this on my browser. The game freezes really bad. It is sad, because the aesthetics seemed really promising
