love love love love loveeeeeeeeeeeee thissssss! so much fun. it was like an action version of a Heroes of Might and Magic III necromancer run. I'd love to see this expanded if you are into it. Perhaps more raised dead types, i bet you already have tons of ideas though. this is very high up there amongst what i've played in terms of having pure fun playing it. the sprites are great too, love those funky, sassy lil skeletons, and while i realize it was likely a time saving measure, having the boss be just, wizard boi, but bigger, was hilarious to me. Fantastic!!!

Glad you liked the game so much :D

This is my second jam (I'm not a veteran yet) and had to work full time during the jam. I wasn't sure how the game would be recieved but in the end everything turned out great :)

This is my first and I also had to work a full time job as well. On last nights stream Jade mentioned the intention of the scheduling being anti-crunch, which I appreciate. I'm not sure I ever would have tried to enter if it had been the typical 48 time period that's more common. I got a couple hours in after my work days and then did big pushes on the weekends. It's harder when you need a day job. Congrats to you for managing to get something done, and having it be such a good experience as well!

This feels like a great start for a full game. The mechanics that you introduced are pretty interesting, but maybe too simple, and the game a bit easy, but understandable as it is a jam. The story is also interesting and the pixelart was great. I can see you expanding on this. Great job!

Thank you! I had to scope down to make it on time, finished the game on the last day.

Wow! What a great game! I'm really impressed with how cohesively you delivered the story.  I actually want to know what's up with this Lich?  why is he so angry?  Who was he before he was the king of the undead?

As for the gameplay, it was lots of fun, maybe a bit easy but I never got bored so I can't complain.  If you were gonna expand on the concept, i think it'd be awesome if you were able to command the skeletons so it'd start as a shoot-em-up and evolve into an RTS as your army got larger.  Another concept that would fit well with that is if the skeletons inherited weapons/attack style of the enemy they were reanimated from.  So you could focus on archers if your army needed more archers.  It'd also be interesting if you could consume your own skeletons to charge some mega lich attack.  Seems like a very lich thing to do :)

Cool ideas, in my initial scope I had actually planned the zombified versions of the enemies. Having done only the zombified warrior, I realised it would take lots of time to work on the pixel art (which I lacked). I also had a lot of problems with the AI while I was coding it so decided to simplify it.

As for why the Lich is angry, he is angry because a group of buffoons woke him up early in the morning. He is just cranky :D Btw It was written in the last sentence at the epilogue screen as a joke but nobody mentioned it so far :P

This is a fun game, reanimating the skeletons in the graveyard was very fun. I had some problems with the game though due to my browser(opera) having mouse gestures with right click, but after disabling those it worked fine.

If i had to say i wish the skeletons were a bit smarter at attacking enemies, as they are just good bone shields against ranged opponents. but was still very fun.

last gogodot jam it was linux and its short cuts, this time it's opera and its short cuts :D I'll learn how other operating systems and browsers work one jam at a time :D

Also, I agree. I had a hard time with the state machine, I definetely need to work on the logic of that.
