Thanks for playing! Yes, I did work on it by myself. But the music and the character were made by others. I will play your game soon!
good game.
Reminds me a bit of my own game I made for the jam. Completely different in execution, but a tile-based game where a roll of the die affects how far you can move, and while it feels like a puzzle, sometimes you can just get unlucky even with perfect strategy. It's a pretty unexpected thing to see; in this kind of sokoban style, your expectation is for it to be deterministic and logical, yet a large portion of success depends on RNG. Is that a good or bad thing? I'm not sure, but it is different.
thanks for playing. My original intention was not to make this random. But I had no time to do that, as I was working on another game in the beginning. I was planning on a roguelike game where the dice value depends on how u flip it. After the jam ends, I will update it. I hope you would also check it out then.
Thanks again!
would've preferred a pre-determined array of numbers. i get that dice make you think of randomness but some levels required me to just spam R until i got a 6. otherwise it could've been a nice puzzle game.
pls add more levels and include carl's backstory. i need the lore! i know there is lore!
nice music and art
Thanks for playing! Originally it was intended for the dice to rotate along its side and get those numbers. But I had less time (literally less than 12 hrs) as I worked on a different game at first. I couldn't depict the dice visually to let the user see all the sides at once. So, had to go with a random roll. Well in the next update, I will add everything. I just wish I had more time. I planned flying shurikens, disappearing blocks, some monsters too!
i was thinking about participating in the jam too but i couldn't find a way to make my idea work so you got further than me lmao
i am new to itch.io. is there a way to get notified about updates to games?
Usually, the devs post dev logs. So when you follow them, you get a notification.
