The controls are wonky, but I really like the idea for this. Would probably help if you had a quick tutorial saying "this is what an EXP pip looks like, here's how you fight, here's how you move" just because it's not exactly intuitive after reading the instructions. If the camera was a little closer, that may also help as well, but I really think there's something cool here if expanded upon!
Aside from the clipping issues people mentioned, I had some trouble with the controls. Sometimes I would click somewhere and the die would fly off in a completely different direction.
Still, that's a cool concept (I really like the idea of "leveling" a d4 into a d20), the presentation is very charming.
This is a great submission! Like others, I noticed some collider/clipping issues but they weren't totally game-breaking for me. The graphics are also very nice and I like the take on the theme. Overall, very impressive for only 48 hours!
Outside of minor bugs etc. that could be fixed with more time, I think the primary dice roll could have been designed to add in more consequences. Right now, I just rerolled until I have high numbers and there is no penalty --- and the click to roll is pretty random. Also, the camera was a little too zoomed out for me.
Nice graphics, very good premise. I've noticed some collider issues, and the game would use a bit of a tutorial. Good job, overall!
Thank you for your feedback!
Yes, unfortunately there is some ground clipping in the web build that is not present in the stand-alone. Keeping the dice from clipping through actually turned out to be one of (if not the biggest) challenges and we had to take over the physics simulation steps from Unity.
Very buggy. Immediately had the dice phase through the ground and fly off.
Looks alright. Has some sounds.
The game isn't very intuitive. I would rather a simple, clean game with one mechanic.
