How does your game fit the theme?
As time goes on, you go from a small tree to massive. And as society builds around you, it does the same. There's a thematic element to it as well, about how small the human race is compared to nature as a whole.

Very unique concept I would have never thought of playing as a tree. Seeing your roots and the progress you have made was satisfying. Though it took me a very long time to figure out how to play. For a while it was like searching diamonds in minecraft for me I was going very deep thinking there would be underground water reservoirs until I figured out I need to reach the puddles.
Nice concept, first time I've played as a tree and it was really fun! Getting to the ponds was hard at first. The trick I figured out is to align the camera in tree mode with the pond and then just press forward until you reach it. Not sure if that's intended since it makes the game very easy. The pixelated artstyle is cool but made me feel nauseous after a while (especially in root mode). Still I love how creative this games interpretation of the theme is!
You’re right about the strategy - although it doesn’t seem like many people figure this out so hopefully people don’t read this and cheese it. It’s because for most of the project, going through concrete took way more water, but I had to lower it because it made the game too hard. The strategy you’re talking about is a little side effect of that, maybe placing more metal (the black stuff you can’t go through) around the map would have been a good idea.
