This is a fun idea and I loved the juicy screen shake on collisions!

I think the camera needs to be pulled WAY back though.  It's really hard to see what's going on around you, and each game ended with me instantly getting a game over not knowing why.

Would love to see more!

I never found the goal haha, there was a weird thing with the music where it would get quiet and then suddenly very loud. I found the movement to be quite fun but without any hint of the objective it was hard to play

Very interesting  concept. I like the balance of how smaller squares can hide from larger ones in the little nooks you built around the level. Consider making the timer on the level shorter so that the player can experience more rounds faster!

Good effort. Wasn’t fun for me, though.

I noticed that the music faded as I moved away from the start position. I'm guessing you used an AudioStreamPlayer2D node? If you switch to a regular AudioStreamPlayer it should stay consistent no matter where you are.

some really cool FX, but the gameplay wasn't too fun and it was a bit glitchy, especially with collisions.
