You should upload some screenshots! This is a nice little boating sim game that has its own vibes. I love the atmosphere and sound effects. The 2D sea rendering is compelling. I found that giga creature under the sea but suddenly a shark smashed me all the way to the edge of the map XD
Great little atmospheric game. The controls are definitely clunky, but I feel that adds to the unease that is built by the world. Atmospheric world building gives the player just enough for their mind to run with and build up intrigue and substance.
Couldn't find out how to progress in the story, and the controlls are a bit clunky, but it was kinda fun, and seems like an interesting concept

Hey! Interesting idea, bit obtuse but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
I first went in from the jam page and didn't understand the controls, taking a look at the game's page clarified that you need to press 1 in order to see the explanations for them. Once I saw those, you can tell there's quite a bit more to the game that meets the eye.
It can be difficult to navigate and tell in which direction you are moving (especially with low contrast settings). I eventually found the big shadowy figure and honked at it, though I didn't see anything happen after that.
Overall, I like that it's trying to do something different. You didn't go for a stereotypical game archetype and there's value in that imo. It currently lacks clarity, and I think it's something you could improve upon with more development time.
Btw, it's cool to see more people giving Godot a spin for this jam! Were the effects like the text warping at the beginning and the animated sea texture achieved with shaders?
Hey! Thank for the comments! Did the honk noise play ok? In which version it was? There is a lot after the honking, but there's a timer after you do it to start the next phase, could have bugged out. However, seeing as the exports were all bugged, everyone's having a different problem. We already fixed it, so when the jam ends I'll let you know if you wanna play again!
I was playing in v5_unstable. The sound did seem to play correctly, but I guess the timer did something weird. I could play the sound multiple times. Running into last minute export troubles is always frustrating, but at least you managed to get a playable version out :)
Hmmm I couldn't really figure out what to do. I did manage to get the boat started and sail to the east edge of the map but I couldn't really do anything. I tried the v5 version after that but I couldn't get the boat to start in that.
Is incredible the amount of mechanics you where able to include on the game!
Thanks for the comment! Indeed it was a lot of work! Did you manage to run it ok? Our editor had bugged exports up until now, so some people couldn't even open the game :(
I could open it just fine (Win 11)
