As a red-blooded American, I found this game very easy and intuitive!
All jokes aside, a really clever and funny premise with good execution! It was fun slowly figuring out what different things weigh and knowing which ones to grab for different amounts. Nice work!
Great game ! Really fun and amusing ! However a bit too easy i think? it would have been better if the difficulty increased. But beside that; good job !
I really enjoyed the game concept, interesting mechanics, simple game but with great potential
The silly and clever critique of the american measuring system we needed. ;)
Hey! Thanks for sharing your game :)
The idea is cool, the art is cool, and you did a very nice job on the UI and on the code. Only one bug spotted: I managed to have two items overlap on the balance, but no big deal. It looks very polished.
On the gameplay side, I think the concept is a little weak at the moment.
For a good arcade game, you need the difficulty to ramp up. If the difficulty doesn't change, either the game is too hard and the player is frustrated from the beginning, or the game is too easy and it gets boring. I was in a second case. I managed to hit the green zone 20 times in a row on my first try and gave up.
You must increase the difficulty and challenge the player like: "How far can you go? How long can you survive?". Think Tetris or Missile Command.
You had many ways to do so: Reduce the time, increase the conveyor speed, reduce the number of items, remove a space from the balance, add constraints on the items you can put... You could even combine those constraints randomly to create variety in the gameplay, like you're playing and suddenly, BOOM, you have half the time and you can only use 2 items.
Anyway, good job for creating this in 96 hours :)
Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately we didn't have time to test the balance (pun intended) however, we already have the systems which allows us to control a lot of parameters dynamically. I like the idea with random events, sounds cool
I like the joke and I like the execution, clicking through items is fun! The time felt a bit too short and items moved too quickly, but that could also be practice. The job application theming was a nice touch.
Noooo way this game was genius :D The only thing is that the logics were a little confusing to me: the clock was not immediately visible and at first I thought that pushing the red button would scale things and not pause the game. Still it was super fun to play and I'm stunned about all the work you made in the little time given. Awesome
Really cool concept! I had an idea to use a scale like that but I could not figure out how to do it LOL I love that a car is equal to a hamburger and taco.
My only gripe is that it does get repetitive quickly but if you continue this and add variations, events, or other things to scale I would definitely play more.
My Hiscore is 50 with ~5600 wage. Can anyone beat it? >:D
This is a beautiful game, I like the way the objects look, and I like the dithering on the shadows, The gameplay is great and addictive, I got to like 3k points before I died. Really great job.
Simple, but very fun to play!
