Super fun little atmospheric experience. I could see this being fleshed out into something really fun. Opening sequence was super cool, impressive stuff for a jam!
Thank you so much!! Glad you enjoyed it. And yes we'll finish it soon enough :-)
Interesting game. However it's really short and poorly optimized. Despite my RTX 4060 it still seems to have an inconsistent frame time jumping from 20 to 50 ms
Thanks! There is a setting in the options menu that allows you to lower the rendering quality for performance as needed. My RTX 3070 runs this no problem.
I mean I do have average FPS of 50 on high, the problem is that the frame rate isn't stable.
Ah, I see. Where / when is the frame rate dropping for you??
The visuals is really good!!! The gameplay idea is fun. Controls over the scaling felt weird. I had no idea where I am suppose to go, and ended walking out to the empty space. Overall a interesting jam game.
Thanks, you went the right way then! We didn't have enough time to add all the puzzles we wanted so the game kind of just ends there for now.
As for the controls we were considering changing it to more of a "lock-on and select scale direction" approach but again, no time. We'll probably finish this project sometime after the jam though so thanks for the feedback!
Really polished for a 96 hour jam! Crazy you put dialogue in there.
I didn't finish the game due to it being so laggy (could just be my computer though)
Thank you!! We have a setting for rendering quality in the options menu that lets you scale it back as needed for the system it's running on. Hope you'll give it another whirl on Medium or Low!
The camera is very floaty, which makes it a little weird to use. The scaling mechanic is very neat, though the level seems to end abruptly, so it doesn't get enough exploration. I'd like to see it polished more and explained a little better.
Agreed. Due to time restrictions and some disruptions in our team workflow we weren't able to work in as many puzzles as we'd have liked, but we'll continue after the jam.
