A cute and well executed idea. I assume the levels are randomly generated? After the first couple of levels you gave us a lot more tiles than we needed so the puzzle element was lost. Art is very nice and the music fits the game as well.
For the possible improvements, maybe add option to move already placed tile and maybe have a couple of premade levels that provide a bit more challenge. Maybe more chests or something. Good work overall.
The gameplay, especially arranging straight paths, felt a bit tedious. Hope you'll add a way to remove tiles instead of resetting the entire level. However the rest of the game felt like a cohesive experience. Considering the short timeframe, it's impressive that the game has so many levels. I also liked the success animation and flames on the sides of the level.
I wish I could do only half of what you have managed to create here, it's great.
Very neat idea! Overall the gameplay is fun and intriguing (reminds me of puzzle games like Helltaker), although the game can be a bit slow especially when the hero is walking. Maybe a speed up option would be good. Good job!
From the description I thought we might have created the same game! Very different though and great idea. I found the selecting of the individual tiles to be a bit slow paced at times, think maybe if you had to place the next select tile it might improve it. Great job though!
I like the idea and overall design. However the gameplay loop itself: Clicking to add tiles is a bit clunky maybe automatically selecting one tile to place next and switching the selected tile with some keys would speed up the gameplay.
because I wasn't patient enough to go through more than 4 levels.
