Nice concept but the disconnecting mechanic doesn't lead to very interesting gameplay situations. Its much easier to not use it at all. And this just make this game a simple shooter with a very impracticable hitbox.
I love the UI though
I will take this into account for other games and possibly maybe update this game after the jam to improve upon it. The hope was that the mechanic would be used more in the later and more difficult levels, which I myself found useful to use on the later levels. One particular thing I noticed was that a few people weren't a huge fan of the difficulty development, so maybe I'll make the earlier levels more difficult so players can utilize the mechanic more. (thx I worked a lot on the ui, I wanted to make it even cooler but ran out of time)
Gets pretty hectic at the end, doesn’t it? Would’ve liked to see more types of enemies, but this was a good challenge and very satisfying to play.
This was pretty fun when things get ramped up. It feels really nice to dodge things by untethering! Wish it got ramped up a bit quicker - maybe making the levels take less time to complete. But a fun game!
