How does your game fit the theme?
You are perpetually stuck to a virus, which may be a blessing or a curse! He´ll surely destroy your other enemies, but that´ll only mean he can destroy you more easily;

Love the music you used for the game, it suits really well the gameplay. As for the game I had fun trying to destroy the enemies and run away from the virus. I feel like the balance could be adjusted, it can escalate the difficult real quick since wave 2. Anyhow great concept and game!

Well thanks! As for the balance I completely agree with you, since due to my impeccable time management I only had about 20 minutes to design the waves, and the virus scales about 1.5x faster than he should. After the voting period I´ll definitely upload a patched version!

music gets epic from wave two and onwards.

cool visuals and fast pased gameplay.

great work

For me it was a bit too confusing, not sure what is the goal and what should I do.

Great job on completing the game jam!

It's a bit confusing at first but after reading through the instructions a few times it became clear. What a neat concept!

Great mechanic! It is interesting to be able to control the enemy and it is relevant to the theme too. The post processing applied and music fits the aesthetic well.

I think that the lack of objective is a bit of an issue. I'm not too sure what the goal is. Do I need to survive as long as possible, kill all viruses or reach a certain place? It'll be better to let the player know what to aim for. There is also the problem of life getting spawned in the walls.

Over scoping is quite common in game jams, so don't beat yourself up about it. Great job on completing the game jam!

Thanks a lot! The power-up box in the wall was my attempt at teaching the player that the virus can use the power-up too, but I see that ended up being more confusing than helpful. Really learned about the power and importance of a good tutorial this jam. Oh and I also had a shader that highlighted your current goal in the edge of the screen (as well as a cool VHS one) but for some reason that didn´t work in WebGL and I only found that out within the last hour, so yeah... (But overall the idea was that the timer would make it so that by the end you´d be desperately running from the virus while the "minimum kills would mean you can´t just sit at a corner)

Your game is incredible too btw, nails the gameboy feel incredibly well and is super polished. The only slight gripe I have is that the whole limited hearts thing  makes the puzzle sections a bit annoying, like when you accidentally miss a ´heart throw´ and now the puzzle is impossible and you have to lose some progress.   But overall, it´s a really great game!

Even after reading the description, I got a little confused about what I should be doing. Also, it might be just me, but using the mouse pointer to control both characters seems a bit weird, maybe WASD + mouse could be better.

Having said that, the concept is interesting. The fact that the stronger your virus is, the faster he kills you brings a neat mechanic to the game.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah looking at the bigger picture I realize I didn´t focus on making a decent tutorial nearly as much as I should´ve, especially since I accidentally made the virus grow twice as large( scope creep was real with this one).

Loved your game too btw,  just a really good game all around. Ótimo jogo!(apparently you´re from Brazil too lol)
