How does your game fit the theme?
You have no control over the thrust and the velocity of your ship constantly increases. There is no angular drag so spinning out of control happens frequently as you learn.

I really liked this game! The concept was fun and was well executed. I liked the smoke effect and sound effect when the ship is turning, that gave a lot of nice feedback. I also appreciate that the voice acting has variance in tone and delivery rather then just the same line over and over.

If you wanted to improve, I suggest adding something to represent an actual crash, even if you just swap out the ship for a massive explosion. It's a little jarring to go back to the main menu. I had some problems judging the depth of field with some items, especially while turning. I recommend adding in some ray cast elements to check if the ship is on a collision course and then alert the player somehow if a crash is about to happen. Additionally, you could create a nice risk reward system by having points or other objects near the surface of structures so that the player can risk crashing for more points. Lastly I think a little bit more variety in objects would be nice. Everything kinda looked similar and it was hard to tell if I was going in circles or in a specific direction. If you didn't have the resources some form of compass showing the direction of the ship could be a good substitute.

Overall, fun game with a lot of potential! Can't wait to see what you do with it moving forward. If you have time, check out my game: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/694820
