I see a cool concept here, but I think you missed the mark. I understand that your "out of control" mechanic is that after a set period of time, you "explode," giving you extra jump height. However, I don't think that mechanic was incorporated into the level design. If I had some kind of meter, or a more clear indicator of when I was about to explode, I could plan my jumps more. The coins also respawn way too fast. I wasn't able to clear level 1 , which was pretty discouraging.
Actually, the "out of control" idea was that you never know when exactly you will explode because the time between explosions is randomised within some parameters. Since we ran out of time the proper indicator before explosion wasn't implemented sadly. Same for level design, this one is just for testing. The coin respawn was a last minute thought since we only had one level so you can play it a bit longer. Thanks for playing the game (also it will get updates after the end of voting).
I was not able to understand the game objective as coins just came back after i took them.. It will be great to add a help button or instructions and a cool audio :) Keep creating.
The plan was to make more levels etc but we just ran out of time at the end so I made the coins respawn, kind of an "endless" type of a game. Thanks for playing the game (I will update it after the Jam voting ends).
