Heres the gd.games link for it :) https://gd.games/instant-builds/72463af1-8a93-4b90-8d30-9b2a945d729
Really nice jam game - the menu with the (tweened?) items flying in and hovering is so good! The game itself is also really solid. I found I couldn't seem to scare the monster off with the flashlight, but health was plentiful enough on easy mode that it didn't feel as though it broke the game. I think part of the problem might have been that the combination of shift and right click brings up a menu on my machine, so I couldn't shine the light while sprinting away.
By the way, I see you seem to be having trouble with audio at your end but it didn't seem there was anything missing on mine (Firefox on Linux). I got music at the start, a heartbeat as the monster approached, and bleeps when picking up items (plus possibly other stuff I forgot).
Oh good. The music was the main problem. I'm glad you liked it!
Menu design is great, love the movement and the music is super catchy! Definitely some good scary material. However, right-click would not turn on the flashlight for me, so I did not get very far. Let me know because I would love to play it some more!
And if you haven't had a chance to check out my game Foxy Boom Boxy, I would appreciate any feedback, thanks!
The audio is great! The heartbeat / range indicator is especially good. The art is also very charming. That giant centipede is creepy!
The light maneuver was fairly difficult for me. I looked at your gameplay video for reference, but I couldn't backpedal far enough to get it to work. I ended up just running as fast as I could while picking up health. I know that wouldn't work on hard mode but... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Great work!
pretty good but laggy p.s pls play my game https://itch.io/jam/gdevelop-game-jam-4/rate/2214540 rating are greatly appreciated
atmosphere is awesome, but didnt exactly knew what the light was supposed to be used for, nice work.
Its used to repel the monster ;)
oh, didnt worked for me, maybe pointed at its head, not body lol, but was great
I love game and that nice graphics
I would appreciate to see your feedback on my game
this game has funny graphics
The game is very, very dark. I could barely tell where I was going. I wish I would have had more direction on where the items I needed were. It ended up with me kind of walking around randomly and hoping I found something before dying to the demon(?). Looks like a fun game, I really wanted to enjoy it more!
Very well made game, nice sfx and graphics, well done.
very nice game! made sure to give you a high rating!
(can you check out my game to I will appreciate it a lot!)
Good idea but I can see the items without using the light, well done! Would you mind taking a moment to check out my game as well and provide a rating? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Game Link
Okay, solution. I'm going to upload a video of pure gameplay onto my YouTube channel. If you want to see how the game would truly play, check that out.
EVEN ON GAMEJOLT THE SFX AREN'T LOADING BRO. DAWG I GIVE UP.
Guys, please note the almost all of the sound effects in the game just aren't playing on itch. Check out gamejolt for the game with all of it's sound effects. Devs, please don't let me get a bad score in the sfx category please lmao
Tested in Chrome an Firefox on Linux and sound is OK. Maybe is problem in your browser. Cool game bro.
Im using Opera GX. I dont know if it has a reputation of doing stuff like that.
I had an issue with the MP3 not being played for my game. I changed it to Ogg Vorbis and that seemed to fix it. I'm using the latest update of Opera, and coupled with your issue, I wondering if there is a bug with the browser...
