Multi Player Games

Hey everyone!

I have an idea for a 1v1 multiplayer game for this jam.

I wanted to check if this format would be okay to submit. Even if I am creating this game primarily for my own enjoyment, I'm a bit concerned it might create issues during the judging phase (such as whether judges would need to find someone else to play with them, or whether that would make it harder to evaluate).

Has anyone made a multiplayer game for this jam before, or does anyone know if there are any guidelines about this?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

I'm in the same boat. Currently working on a little multiplayer proof of concept for the jam. What I'm doing to ensure that, despite it being multiplayer, it can be judged without requiring a player 2 is creating a "level 0" which doubles as a single player tutorial to show players the ropes and give them an idea of how it works. Maybe try creating a rudimentary state-machine that a single player can play against?

Good luck with the game!

Make it a multi-faceted competition; such a large competition can be done using ready-made templates.
