The animation in this game was very amazing and gave me old animated disney film vibes.
So I like the game. The art style reminds me of the old Gameboy games. However you've submitted the game to a bunch of jams, and this game doesn't really fit the theme of new beginnings.

I wouldn't say it's against the rules. Your game as much as I liked the old Gameboy vibes and mechanics, your game didn't match the theme at all. If there was a story behind the mountain climbing, maybe going to a safe valley to start over after his home got destroyed or something then it would've been fine
Hi there! I am getting real Gameboy vibes playing this game. The music, gameplay and character controller really feels nicely.
However, I don't really think the purpose is to submit the same game for multiple jams so I wouldn't really score it high on the "fits the theme" well...
