Very cool game! I Love the take on the theme! The controls were a bit awkward though...

Overall I have to say nicely done, you submitted a 3D game that’s playable and has a lot of potential! It took me a while to figure out how to get the truck started, felt like randomly by pressing the w key it would start. Congrats on the work you did here, I hope you continue to develop this game!

I really like the vibe of your game but execution had major problems.

You made the controls hard and confusing for no reason. Why not make engine just start with E? Space is nearly in all car games are  the brakes why use space+mouse when you can just use mouse?  UI was also not helping, I found out we have a mirror after 3-4 run. AI was hitting me even before game starts and was very hard to  doge.

The most major problem was the car  movement was not like a car but some rectangle on a ice.  Now you could still use this to your advantage  if you make the theme on an icy road where also the AI cars were affected. This would fix the narrative (like why the cars are hitting me) and make the car movement more believable.  With a real traffic where some cars are slower and some faster it would be fun even trying to reach the end. I would also hide how much cargo you lost from UI and   put the scale part at the end of the game where it also shows your score.

If this game was more user friendly I would play this until finished all the upgrades for sure.

I appreciate your feedback! I will definitely have to work on the driving mechanics a bit more in the future, they certainly are currently like driving on ice. I will work on the user friendliness for sure, some of the controls are definitely unnecessarily complicated.

Thanks!

Cool take on the theme.  I had the same experience as buzzyard regarding full screen & ultrawide, but I have one of each, so I pressed alt+enter and got out of full screen, then went back to full screen on my standard HD monitor and it worked fine.  In Unity, I think what you'd want is to take "free aspect" off and pick 16:9 to fix this.

That out of the way, I could actually have some fun!  It's entertaining once you get going.  A couple of things I'd be aware of is that the cars colliding into you from behind happens a bit often.  I had some hit me when still counting down, which was inconvenient LOL.  Also, a counter to this might be the rear-view mirror, but the cars that are coming up are not "mirrored," so it's disconcerting to use that.  Flip that around and I think you're in good shape!

Developer

Sorry again about the ultrawide problem! I will have to make sure to fix that for next time.

I'm glad you could get it working on your other monitor though! Also I agree with the crashing problem, there is a 10s buffer so you don't lose points there (but this is not communicated anywhere in the game, so my bad haha). I will be sure to fix the mirror too, I completely forgot about that!!

Thank you so much for the feedback!

I may be doing something wrong but I cannot get the game to start. Firstly it forces fullscreen and so the UI is unreadable on an ultrawide, so maybe I just cant see the start button. I get to a scene in a garage with the truck and two guys, and there is nowhere to click except a button to select music (switching music does nothing).

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I'm sorry it didn't work with the ultrawide aspect ratio, I thought I set it to force 16:9 but I must have messed it up somehow :(

I'll keep this in mind for next time!!
