well done for tackling both themes!

good use of the spirit tracks soundfont and definitely fits the image too.

I'd echo what gullo said about the piano feeling a little disconnected at times & what cloud castle audio said in that the low end of the track could come through a bit more, but overall it's a v nice track! I like the interplay between the guitar & piano and the flutes, strings & percussion work nicely with them too.

Sorry for responding so late. Thanks for the compliments though! I agree that the song lacks in certain aspects; this has to do partly with the soundfont I chose to use. I am mostly glad you were not confused by the 5/4 time signature I chose to use :D

The song is really nice and it fits the theme. I like the chord change that leads from sections A to B. The winds that come in in the second section A are very good and add a lot to the track. The panning of the piano is interesting, especially in the "A" section, where it moves from left to right, however I would identify 2 issues with that: 1 is that sometimes there is some weird dynamics, probably due to phase cancellation, where the instrument seems to be going down and up in volume quite quickly (you can hear it around 0:27); another one is that the piano sometimes feels a bit disconnected from the rest of the mix, but I don't perceive that in section B. There also seem to be some background noise associated to the piano - maybe it's just the soundfont that was made that way.

Sorry for the late response. Thanks for the detailed explanation! I agree that the piano (which was actually a harp) sounded a bit weird at times; I liked that it moved from left to right but couldn't fix this aspect well. I'm glad you liked it anyway :). And I am glad that the 5/4 time signature I used did not sound annoying!

Straight away thrown into a Zelda vibe (or old RPGs in any case), I'm loving the nostalgic approach to fantasy and your choice of instrument. I feel like the low end of the frequency spectrum could use some more love, but overall a nice creation

Developer

Thank you :D. Glad you like it.

And thanks for the feedback. Could you specify what you mean with "the low end of the frequency spectrum could use some more love"? Do you have anything specific you missed?

I feel like the low freq could use some more work, to maybe be more present in contrast to everything else ; it felt like it was lacking a little bit in that area, but it was mostly a matter of personnal taste :-)
