  • Hi! I remember you two as the Prince Genie Shoes devs from ShroomJam! Glad you participated in this jam as well! This game is a great step forward for you two and your skills as developers! I really loved the way the game looked and the whole aesthetic of it. That being said, here are my critiques. First off, I felt like the movement was a little slow and wasn't fluid enough. Second, I didn't like how I had to stop moving to attack. It felt like there was this rhythm being interrupted and it was difficult to hit enemies while jumping. Third, I managed to solve the bell puzzle by sheer luck as well, and I'm glad I did because otherwise I'd have been stuck. I was kinda confused how to beat the boss at the end too. I'm still not sure how I feel about projectiles going through walls, but it isn't as disruptive as it was with Prince Genie Shoes. Thanks again for submitting and I'm excited to see more of your projects in the future!
  • Very well made, the sprites were fantastic! Very fun to play
  • Jumping could've been nicer if it had super extremely fast, maybe it was intentional for the bootleg vibes? but there could've been a way to make it work, either way, it was alright.

Who worked on your submission?
SaintMartianBros is a two developer team account made up of victenSAM and 1powerbutton (both brothers). We've made this game entirely on our own using Godot. Only one other person outside of our team tested and gave us feedback during the making of our game, being credited there in our special thanks (Jennifer Naylor).

How does your submission fit the theme?
We've combined a familiar game setting with absurd pop-culture crossovers and references that both surprise us and amuse us when we look for bootleg products. The setting plays it straight with some old-school action and break it's rules as it provides humurous situations and encounters throughout the game. We hope you find them amusing and have a good time playing our game!

Good work here! Funny sprites, one of my favorites is the dying animation of the SkeleGambits where they just look surprised and disappear.

Thanks! 😄
I've had a lot of fun making these silly goobers. I even voiced the Gacha Bones you've mentioned myself!
