Notes (optional)
The Fish, Eel, and Plants were modeled, textured, and animated from scratch. The eel ai has a fun hidden mechanic were he chooses a random unit vector to swim towards. Initially the random unit vector is limited to only be a small difference away from the direction he is already going. However as he gets closer to a wall a "line trace by channel" detects the obstacles and gradually allows for the unit vector to have larger and larger ranges until the eel is not in front of an obstacle any more. This allows the eel to mostly swim in a fluid line but is also able to turn all they way around if he gets stuck!
Pre-existing assets (optional*)
Cliffs and little rocks were kit bashed from Quixel bridge assets, sand texture for landscape was found online, modified the built in Unreal Engine Water Plugins. Some blender kit materials were used as starting points for the custom made assets' textures.
