Great and fun simple game! I agree that an endless mode would be really fun! :D

It seems like the faster I finish, the higher the score :D

A simple old-school type of game. Simple but fun! 

Some polish and extra effects would go a long way though.

A decent descent indeed! Cute sprites, effective audio, and a clear gameplay objective. You also followed the cardinal virtue of dodging games, making the hitbox smaller than the player sprite - but I would have left the hitbox the same for picking up items if possible. Good job!
