The intimidate/provoke/check mechanic is a very interesting idea. I like the ability to influence the fight during the downtime. The visuals could use some improvement, as its sometimes hard to see the opponent's guard when the two sprites are almost overlapping. Being able to zoom in on the fight seems like it would help a lot.
