Hello, the first version was made in July for a Jam about "Time Travel". I have participated since to some jams with this game like the "improve my game" Jam to have deadlines to help me ( I added a new historic period, special effects, new musics and sounds, and permanent checkpoints). I will try to polish the game again before the deadline of this Jam adding a pause menu and better looking movements for the futuristic car. If you want to try the first version made in 3 days, say it. It demands lower performances for the PC and it's easier (the car is indestructible in the first version).

Nice mechanics.

Suggestions: When moving faster, make pontiate faster too.

Move the rain effector with the map, not with the car.

When it's dark, it looks a bit unfair to me.

Hello, thank you for the feedback. I didn’t find what “pontiate” means. The ground doesn’t move it’s an illusion created by the moving obstacles. I created a solution for the movement of the rain and of the smoke but it’s not perfect yet. And yes, the game become harder when the night falls it’s on purpose. And yes, the game can be too hard. However, I can most of the time reach the 3rd level (and the game is procedural,so every game is different). Do you use the jump? (Spacebar). It’s the smoke 2.0 (WIP) and I will do the same with the rain.

Sorry, wrong typing.

My suggestion is to make points faster when we are accelerating (pressing W).

I'll continue playing. My "dark souls" side of the brain is making me do it. 🤣

If you follow me you will be aware of the devlogs and updates, the next will be about the “in game menu” and the last about the final level. I already created the code that give a X2 score when you accelerate ,some weeks ago, but it’s maybe because the acceleration and deceleration is immediate (and not progressive)but the game it’s not harder. Maybe harder in the first level at full night but I this case i don’t want to push the player to suicide ;), and the acceleration can help you when you fly to avoid some buildings before the dangerous landing, it’s also can be helpful in some case in the level 2. When you reach a level (historic period) you unlock it permanently in the main menu, and the level 2 (new kind of obstacles) is more peaceful. However don’t worry if you want to die the level 3 is nice for that :) .

The in game “pause menu” is almost finished but it change almost nothing for the player experience and the better car movements in preparation are only a little visual improvement:… coming soon. <-Red Version <-blue version. what do you prefer?
