Some fifteen years ago, I started working on DGX9142. Originally, I planned to make a little space game over the Easter break of 2004. This morphed into the idea to merge FreeSpace-style dogfights with a spawnpoint conquest in the spirit of Battlefield 1942. I was 15 years old at that time, and these were two of my favorite games.
Since then, lots of stuff has happened: There have been more than a dozen Battlefied installments. DirectX 7, which is used for the graphics, has long reached the end of its life cycle. But, as Stef and I have been concerned with other stuff over the last ten years, the release of DGX9142 has not come about ... till today! :)
