This is a really interesting concept that lends itself super well to combos. I really like it! I think it'd be cool if the difficulty increased somehow. I'd be curious to see what would happen if you added more types of cogs to make it harder, and then perhaps some with fun powers, like exploding cogs for example? Anyway nice entry!

I absolutely love this! It is very satisfying and fun, with clever game mechanics!

If you could move the cursor to prepare your next move while the break animation still runs, that would be cool. Also, i noticed that i hardly had time to check the combo points being calculated since i need to watch whats happening during the block break. If you had simplified visual clues as an overlay close to the game field (like "2x!", "3x!" or maybe "bronze!", "silver!", "gold"etc..) it could be more rewarding.

But honestly, those are super minor details, i think this game works very well - congrats!!

this has to be up there as one of my favorites from the jam, i love the concept! if i really have to complain, i think it feels a bit too easy rn, and the game doesn't seem to ramp up in speed or difficulty. genuinely looking forward to the full version

The music is really quite beautiful, bringing some very cool jrpg adventure vibes...The gameplay is fresh and unique, and chains come easy. I wish there was more of it!! More colors than three, some well defined stages...I love what I played, and I hope that you continue to work on this or develop it further, because it's very exciting!

Ayy thanks for playing our game. We are still actively developing the game and adding some difficulty options as you mentioned. Be sure to check it out once it's completed in a few days :)

Btw, the music was produced by peritune:
