Hi !

members : Arthur, Liam and Cedric

Submitted

4h report : despite the lack of visuals the core gameplay is established, now we have to work on the most difficult feature to add (yet)

We are still working on concept arts but soon  we should be able to work on pixel art assets

here are some other concept art that have been made in those 4 hours

Host

Hi guys,

thanks! keep on going

Submitted

2nd report 8 hours after the start of the project :

idle animation for the main character s sprite are mostly done, once the walking phases are done we'll need to do some tweaking for them to work in the engine

while it still looks like garbage the game's prototype is still able to showcase the original ideas we had for the gameplay, so next we'll have to focus on story-telling, lexel design and bug fixes

Liam is also working on environment

One of us is currently resting and we will probably do the same at some point in the night so we won't post reports regarding our work until next morning.
Host

ok, thanks guys

28h :  we're all working on different aspects so gathering our progress and showing new stuff is a bit hard but we're still running

we aim to wrap up on the graphics by tomorrow morning, that should allow us to focus on the assembly of each part, including music which we still to start working on

Host

in case our submition isnt working here is the link to the itch page for our game https://arthur-d.itch.io/ruined-city

Sadly our game isn't finished yet .

only one thing is missing , the text box which are explaining why you are here and what happened to the city and to the people who where living there

so to explain this here are the missing text boxes :

first when you are starting the game :

after this you'll find the magical necklace which is the center of the history

Some minutes after moving in the city you'll find the first scroll

Walking in the city you'll find the second one

if you look precisely at the map you will find the key to open the chest and with it this message

after this you'll find a way to get to the chest (by pressing E on the bomb in the past and get back to reality to not die )

you will reach the chest and find the last scroll

We hope you'll be interested to see what the game would have looked like with the last few lines of code

have fun testing our game :)
