Hi there! Having never been a part of a jam of any kind before, I had a few questions. I'm sorry if this isn't really the kind of thing the Jam community page is meant for, but I didn't want to bother any organizers directly, and better yet, wanted to have these questions, and hopefully answers, available for anyone else that may be wondering.

1. Is the purpose of a Jam to do all the creation DURING the Jam? Or is submitting something you wrote up before the Jam officially starts also acceptable?

2. Not that I think I will write more than one entry, but if I/someone did, would multiple entries to the Jam be accepted?

3. I can't imagine why it wouldn't be, but just to be sure since it isn't spelled out, the Jam is first time writer friendly, right?

1. You can work on ideas ahead of time, but most of the actual work should be done during the jam. Stuff that is already done should not go in the jam.
2. Multiple entries are fine.
3. It is definitely first-timer friendly.
