Pretty solid game, I have some issues with the colors of the game (but thats more a health problem of mine) but I would like if you could add something to diminish the intesity, also, if you could add a trace to know where you are pointing would be a game changer since the enemies are to fast and when I attack I was looking other way, apart from that, very good
A solid retro style action puzzle game. Adding sound and music to the game would make it feel less flat. Some of the tiles also don't read very well. I didn't realize the black square gradient was a pit at first. The character also accelerates a bit too fast for precise movements. With a bit more polish this could be improved quite a bit.
Thank you for the feedback.
In hindsight, I probably should've made the world tiles bigger, and slowed the player down. I notice that it's almost impossible to maneuver between two bottomless pits with how fast the player goes. I wanted to make sure the player could get around quickly with the 5 minute time limit, but I took it too far in the opposite direction. I definitely tried to do a little too much for this game jam.
It's cool, especially how it's implemented in the mechanics. An arcade style of taking the highest score possible (stars). you can improve things like the feeling of the game. Nice work!
first it's playable in a web browser so it's a +. second like the fact you included a comand list esspecialy since you use key that are rarely use, i played game who also did use rater obscure key for action, this showed that you where able to predic that this game would be played by peapole that aren't you. this is sommething that i overlook. good gam
The classic push-your-luck mechanic (return to base or risk more stars) is well implemented, good job! The black boxes of death could do with clearer boundaries and a death animation, so players know what killed them. It's not necessarily clear what each tile does just by their visuals, although the trial and error with quick respawns is fun.
Hey! I made a video of this jam where I gave feedback to the games including yours! Hope it helps! :D
I would really appreciate it if you left a rating on my game too!
Thank you for the feedback.
The lack of animation, sound, and player information (e.g., not showing the base scrap total until the end) definitely hurt the game a bit. I probably should've tuned some things down so that the game was more polished overall. Well, something to improve for next time I suppose.
Def! Looking forward to your next game :D
