Rules clarification

Hi there! I'm currently participating in the jam, and had an idea for a mechanic I wasn't sure would be permitted under the rules. I don't know if anyone is familiar with the game Pentiment, but in the beginning of that game you have conversations that effectively define your characters background, which can open new  dialog options later (For example, being knowledgeable about plumbing because you said you used to work as a plumber). Doing this would require a small break from pure dialogue: the format I have in mind is something like this:

(PLUMBER) "I can fix that pipe!"

Basically, a short dialogue tag so the player understands why that option is appearing. I personally do not think this violates the spirit of the rules- it is minor, and serves only to provide the player with information they need to understand the game.

Hello! This mechanic is totally fine by the rules, both in letter and in spirit.

Happy jamming!

Now I really wonder how much choices you could have until it was "too much"? My game will have this "good boy point" and it is only attainable via the choices. Won't be lot, maybe 5 to 7 choices. Thank you for answering.
