My favorite lines are, “You sound just like dad.?/And you’re acting like him. Put the gun down.” It’s a quick, elegant way to cement the family dynamics. The (presumably?) older sibling needs the sister’s help and yet can’t stop being anything but manipulative. For me these characters are really the key to understanding the world and story, and I’m curious about the inside job and why the sibling needs to kill someone in a group that the clearly estranged sister belongs to. Why are they still connected somehow after all the bad blood? (I’m also wondering how sick the boyfriend is since it might make sense for her to live with him if there are money and health problems. And is he still at work or not? If it’s important to clarify, you might be able to change a few words. Pretty impressive the amount of story already packed in, though!)
