Creator's Campfire Writing Competition – Focus on Dialogue

Backstory/situation: Two characters don’t trust each other. One of them is trying to convince the other to take a particular action.

Task: Write a dialogue of 500 words or less. Keep it SFW. Use only dialogue, no art, no audio, no text descriptions or action outside of dialogue. (For instance, NOT: His opponent brandished a weapon. Use written dialogue INSTEAD: “Did you conceal that saber in your cloak? Don’t think your threats will cow me!” Show everything with speech.)

Work alone or collaborate (credit collaborators).

Submission on Itch.io: In Create a New Project, go to Details: Description and enter your text in the Description Window. (You may upload one cover image on the itch page to represent the project.)

Enter your word count in the designated field.

Rating: The entries will be rated 1-5 stars by itch users in the following 3 criteria: Creativity, Impact (hits you in the gut), Quality (style and variety of things expressed). The top-rated submission wins a role on our Creator's Campfire server as consultant for the writing channel and for the next writing jam.

You will have 7 days to write the dialogue and 4 days to rate entries.
