The survival horror influence is palpable!
I liked the idea of two worlds and horror theme fits to that.
Moving around for so many steps was tiring. I couldn't get past the white blocks so I went back for the "normal" world, then came back and nearby the blocks the world changed again and I quit because didn't want to go back again ;)
The biggest bug I found must be that dropping partly used ammo and picking it up again restores the ammo to the max. Feels like it uses the ammo data instead of runtime data?
wow, thank you for your input we were not aware pf that bug, we will look into it :).
Nice, I liked it.
Movement is slow, it takes too many steps.
I really liked the resident evil influence and that door opening animation but the small tile size really makes this a slog to complete. I think keeping movement just as slow but enlarging the tiles and allowing key holding would make the game a lot smoother to explore.
What's there is really neat however, functionning inventory system, moving ennemies, item combining and various puzzles; with more focus on movement this could clearly be one of the better entries, nice work.
Thank you for trying out our game, we really appreciate you giving the time and for your kind words!!! We will take your feedback and be sure to put it into good use!
It was really fun, but then i just got lost because of the lack of minimap (i regret i did not draw my own one) . The door animations are super long, i would make them shorter. The lack of sprites on some items looks bad, but i think you can easily ignore it and enjoy it even without it. I like the graphics and the work on the dungeon itself (secret passages, code).
Overally it was fun except for the neverending door opening animation.
Thank you for your feedback!
We were planning on putting a mini map and a compass for the orientation, but we didn't had time for that. But I'm glad you find it funny anyways. :)
"You feel something's unlocked." !
There's a fun exploration game behind the rough presentation, small steps and relatively slow movement here, I think you should have divided the number of steps by two and still make movement a bit faster. The lack of useful feedback (you don't immediately know the enemy is dead, and can mash the gun button) make you use far too much ammo in the beginning, but since there's ton it should not be a problem as soon as you undersand that you kill zombies in 2 (1) hit. The door animation is almost long given you're generally entering then leaving a tiny room.
The Silent Hill inspiration fits the theme perfectly, I like that there are a couple of traditional dungeon mechanics (hidden door, code, even having to find the 3 books), combat is on point, just good old resource management. The cringe title voice acting is a bonus.
Overall it was a bit frustrating yet it was fun enough, I'm glad I took the time to reach the end.
Thank you for the kind comments. We couldn't finish the game as we wanted, but I'm glad you still found things to enjoy. We had no artist, so as programmers, we had to figure out a lot of things by ourselves.
Thank you for the feedback! That's really important!
