Well... I've got one question and that's probably all... Do the sprites have to be 100% original, or can be for example DnD based? Cause there are few creatures I  think match the theme, and want to make sure if I can use them as a reference.

yea!!!!! so long as you credit, you can use whatever reference/ inspiration you want :)
