This was fun and REALLY HARD! lol   I really like see games made without the typical game engine.  Doing it mostly all your self is hard but way more rewarding in my opinion.  Good job and thanks for participating in the jam!

Is the correct key always the last one or was I just unlucky? I couldn't finish the first level before I gave up, collisions are not very precise and, as the others have said, the jumping is clunky, The idea is good though.

The correct key is random everytime a map is loaded, I've since my submission recoded the movement system to hopefully fix the poor movement / jumping, I'm currently working on making the collision pixel perfect on blocks that doesn't utilize the full 32x32 tile space.  I will most likely keep working on the game until it's a finished product, thanks for taking your time to play the game :)

I fell down a few times and ended up not wanting to continue the game any more. George nailed it, jumping is very clunky. Art was good. Would flush out your player hit-boxes and controls.

Thanks for the input! Yeah the jumping is a bit clunky but it's also intentional, the jump is 64 pixels high thus just perfectly making a 2 tile jump which was intentional to add a bit of "harder" gameplay. Appreciate you taking your time to try out the game

Really clunky jump, upload some screenshots so that you can showcase your game. Celebrate your work.

Thank you, I uploaded some screenshots :D also yeah the jumping is slightly clunky and meh at times, it was somewhat intentional and very rushed due to time constraints. The jump is 64 pixels thus just barely making the easiest jumps with a single jump movement instead of the double jump :)
