  • Probably one of the most fun games I've played from a jam haha. The visuals, the vibes, the penguins...so good! The dance moves were very funky too. I enjoyed the game a lot, but one observation is that the moves sometimes would not be interpreted right. I would follow the appropriate moves, but it would show as wrong. It would help if you put more UI feedback for getting a move right, wrong o when the next prompt starts. Good job to the singers for the trailer too! I mean, I'm not surprised that in one night I left the club with 5 mamacitas, I got both dem moves and looks.

WOW! What a game. I'm not going to lie, even though I heard it on YouTube already, I stayed on the menu for a few minutes to enjoy the music. I might've even joined along and sing "IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN ICEBREAKER!!!!" Then I started the game and.. oh my oh my! Music? On point. Visuals? On point. Penguins? Yes. Dance moves? I might take some notes and use those in the future. Honestly this game is just great, original, and simply genius.

However, I will have to admit that it felt somewhat unresponsive at times, especially when there are a pause between notes/moves. Rhythm games are hard to make perfectly, so this is understandable, but as a fan of rhythm games, I'll have to tell the truth and say it was slightly frustrating. Especially when I was doing great and then lose all my 9 cute penguins over a mistake I don't understand. How dare you deny me love!?

This is still an amazing game and easily one of the best I've played so far! Amazing job to all! :)

I was the one that made the rhythm system (that tries to figure out if you've pressed the right input at the right time), and, yes I agree it's a bit awkward at times. I seriously underestimated the effort it takes to make a well balanced, responsive and fun to play rhythm game (even though I like the genre a lot). But hey, I learned a lot, and your nice comment makes it all worth it!

And, don't let the rejection of those cute penguins deter your confidence. They can be really picky at times. What? Giving up on you just because your dance moves are a bit lacking? Pfff, I bet their love isn't even worth it.

Strong candidate for best music/sound, creative theme integration, the posts on the discord were good. Very unique to have dancing as your main mechanic too.

A bit rough around the edges on implementation, but I smiled a bunch.

Controls :

Arms up: W

Arms down: S

Arms to the right: A

Arms to the left: D

Dancing with a penguin: Space bar

Stop the game: Escape

It's breeding season for the penguins! And the biggest seduction event is in town: The Icebreaker! This great annual celebration will allow you to meet many partners, each one as charming as the next!

However, to charm a partner, it will not be easy. Indeed, you will have to demonstrate your dancing skills!

Copy your opponent's moves to convince him / her, using good rhythm, to come with you! Try to gather as many mates as possible before the sun comes up!

However, beware. If you ever fail to charm an opponent, all of your partners will be so ashamed of you that they will abandon you on the spot!

So, who will be the big winner of the Icebreaker?

Contrôles :

Bras vers le haut : W

Bras vers le bas : S

Bras vers la droite : A

Danser avec un manchot/e : Barre d’espace

Terminer la partie : Escape

C’est la saison de reproduction chez les manchots! Et le plus grand évènement de séduction est en ville : Le Icebreaker! Cette grande fête annuelle vous permettra de rencontrer de nombreux partenaires, tous aussi charmant les uns que les autres!

Cependant, pour charmer un/e partenaire, ce ne sera pas chose aisé. En effet, vous devrez démontrer vos talents de danse!

Copiez les mouvements de votre adversaire dans le bon rythme afin de le/la convaincre de vous accompagner! Essayez d’amasser le plus de partenaires possibles avant la fin de la nuit!

Cependant, prenez garde. Si jamais vous ne réussissez pas à charmer un adversaire, tous vos partenaires auront tellement honte de vous qu’il vous abandonneront sur le champs!

Alors, qui sera le grand vainqueur du Icebreaker?
