I'm down for a good lower-synth-tones rumble! This really slaps.
Pleased I got to hear it. Excellent energy and suspense to this thing.

Thanks for the comment. Cool music and keep it up man.
I liked the variety in the composition (the rythm and the key changes mostly). I think that maybe it needs a bit more hectic and heavy percussion. I think it'd help it as a boss theme for example.
Agreed. I could play around witb even wilder drums. Maybe also with a real drum set. Thanks for the feedback.
This is a really cool and epic track! The alternating time signatures make me feel like this is ripe for a boss fight! I tried to count it out and the best I could do was some variation of alternating beats that add up to 10/8, then going into a 6/8 section. l’d be curious to know how you counted it! I really like the big “anthemic” synths that add a lot of energy and spread to the piece. The first time I listened was on not-great phone speakers so in the middle when it got quiet, I couldn’t hear the awesome kick drum and bass figure you had going on (I’m glad I listened again on better speakers!). I think this piece is the most ambitious of all the tracks submitted to this competition and your hard work on this definitely paid off! The exclusive use of synths felt very natural and I imagined the scene the whole way through. Great work and thank you for sharing!
Wow, thanks a lot for the awesome feedback. It is a boss fight theme.
Concerning the counting: I'm a metal drummer and used to compose symphonic metal songs. Basically it's a symphonic metal song with synths instead of guitars.
I actually had this "synthie riff" in 5/4 just playing in my head suddenly and I had to record it.
It actually starts on count "4", so that the 3rd note hits on 1. Then it basically follows the same structure like a metal song: Verse, bridge, verse, bridge, chorus, verse, bridge, break, bridge, chorus. The verse and chorus are basically creating tension and the chorus is a kind of release.
Verse: 5/4
Bridge: 6/4
Chorus:4/4
The counting in the break is 16/4, dissected into 6/4, 6/4 and 4/4.
Greetings
This is really cool! Thank you so much for sharing all of this. Your experience as a drummer shines in this track!
Dark and heavy! i loved!
Thanks a lot.
Has a very infectious quality to it - extremely catchy. The way you developed the themes was very well done! It's not just 'here's an idea, then another, then another...' it's very cohesive, both in timbre and composition. It's a triumph!
Thank you so much for the awesome feedback.
