  • Really cool take on the theme! Was very easy to get momentum fast, and not as challenging as it could be especially considering you get hearts, but the mechanics were fantastic and the particles were 10/10. Great tutorial and not info dumping at the start, good pacing!
  • I really like how you used the theme. Having movement speed affect your damage is a really cool and unique idea. The music and art style also worked really well. Nice work!
  • This was a really interesting rpg take on the theme and I loved it! This mechanic makes top down rpgs like Legend of Zelda way more fun to me and I'd play more if I could!
  • The graphics are nice, movement is really smooth! But it feels like it'll be easier to play if you included more obvious instructions.

How does the game fit into the theme?
You play as a fighter who becomes more powerful as he moves forward. Keep moving forward to build momentum and power up your attacks! Getting hit when your momentum is low will cause you to lose your hat, leaving you vulnerable to extra damage.

What premade assets did you use if any?
A NES Soundpack from OpenGameArt.org by "shiru8bit."
https://opengameart.org/content/nes-8-bit-sound-effects
A few sound effects from Freesound.org mostly from "timgormly."
everything else I made including the music!

What are the Discord usernames of everyone on your team?
Duke or "dukejukem4"
