There is some potential here but it was super unfocused. As people mentioned the resolution was super zoomed in so its hard to navigate, and the player character is behind a building when the game starts so its hard to even tell who your playing as at first. The element abilities seemed like the start of something cool but I only found out they existed through sheer accident and you couldn't do anything with them. In general there is nothing really to do in the game except walk around aimlessly and transform into elemental storms for no reason. It was called a destruction simulator but there was nothing to destroy.

Full Description
God Storm is an open destruction simulator with an emphasis on exploration. Players will explore the city of Los Diablos, encounter various climate catastrophes, and will learn how to help prevent them.
Play as Katai, a protective weather Goddess who's awoken from centuries of slumber, by rampant climate disasters. Meet elemental spirits to gain larger than life powers and learn about how the disasters are affecting their homes. Only through delicate destruction, can Katai show humans the errors of their ways, and nudge society towards a better future.

Artistic Statement / Use of Theme(s)
The artistic inspiration for our game drew inspiration from several different sources. When creating God Storm we looked to combine mythology with the contemporary world. This combination gave us a unique setting for us to tell our story.
We also took an unconventional approach towards the gameplay of God Storm. In the game, the player will be granted the ability to destroy the environment around them. Throughout the course of the game, the player will learn how certain man-made structures hurt the environment negatively. The player will receive positive and negative feedback for how they choose to interact with the environment.
Development Summary
The development of God Storm proved to be a massive undertaking for our team. We had to scrape many features from our original vision of the game, and even still, we struggled to implement all of the base functionalities by the end of the deadline. While we had originally planned for the player to explore multiple environments, we had to limit it to just one, and many actions that the player could take had to be removed. The version of the game we managed to put together for this submission contains the base gameplay functionality of the game, but is missing many details and additional features. Our team intends to add further content and polish to the game over the course of the next few weeks.
The God Storm Team consists of nine people. Three programmers, three artists, two game designers, and one audio designer.
Release Plan
The submission of the game for this jam serves as our “proof of concept” or “beta”. Over the coming weeks, our team will be building upon this foundation. We plan to implement various “events” throughout the world. Each event will showcase how human actions affect the environment, and will be paid with NPC’s to teach the player about what is happening.
