Sometimes you don't need your roguelike to have 20 insane ramping difficulty levels, Sometimes all you need is a nice, simple laid back journey- and rocks. lots and lots of rocks.
This game is a short and sweet roguelike that was a treat to play! I love how you went all in on the stick figure art style and the trick or treat theming. The gameplay is about as simple as it gets, but IMO that makes it really fun to min max. On my True final boss run, i played the warrior and went heavy into rocks. by the end I had some lucky rolls and had maxed out king size (BRILLIANT rarity rating system, btw) rocks that made the final boss a breeze. Some sort of marker to show where you are on the map would be extra helpful, and personally the SFX was a little too much for me, but thankfully there was an option to turn it down. Sick stuff dude!
love the art and sounds! So fun - can even play on my phone!
This music is outta control and love the audio, this is such a good wholesome core game idea -- the idea that the roguelike map is your neighborhood where you are trick or treating with the music made me instantly happy. I love it! I wish the music kept looping during the playthrough! I had to adjust music audio to have it loop. I am a turn-based roguelike addict so this was perfect. I only took 1 piece -- should've taken two to see what happens.
This was really fun! Its nice, simple, and satisfying. Theming is on point with trick or treating being the progression and having upgrades have the give and take, literally a tick and or treat. I was a bit confused when trying to navigate the map at first since I was confused on where I was, but was able to pick it up. The dual rocks are the best and I did go back for another run after, great job!
I like card games so this was ENGAGEMENT MAXING for me. Resisting the temptation to play again and try min-maxing. Our first round started with double rocks on witch lmao.
Gummy Bears are phenomenal starting point -- max hand size and removing candy are the optimal mechanics.
