Is it necessary to make a keyboard game?

Hi,

I wanted to ask whether it is necessary to use a Game Engine like Unity? I am familiar with Python and would feel comfortable in building a game in Python (PyGame) and frontend frameworks like React. Also is it allowed to make webcam controlled games?

You can use any game engine or framework you want. You can also make your game use any type of input you want, but do note that maybe less people will play it or/and you will get less ratings because not everyone can play the game based on your input system (or just because it is inconvenient).

I was thinking of making a webcam based game. Is that fine?

Any input is allowed. So that includes webcams.

It's not required to make a keyboard game, feel free to be creative with the controls!

And it's also not a requirement to use Unity, as long as you can deliver something playable/executable.
