While not the scariest game in the jam, Rapture of the Deep is the best written. A lot of blood sweat and tears was clearly put into the script for it! I highly recommend playing it to anyone who hasn't!

Man, that was so developed, world-building-wise. I'm really impressed! I went through it a few times to see if I missed anything, but I think I saw most of it. Neat premise, good execution. It definitely feels like there are a few things lurking under the surface that didn't make it in because of time, but I really appreciate what is there and that it's complete. I thought the stats and inventory were also very interesting. It's pretty tricky to use renpy like that, so good job!

I love the atmosphere of this game. Not really a horror vibe but definitely a mystery/apocalyptic vibe. The artwork and story is everything in this game and they are both high quality! Off theme but great work!

It’s difficult to balance, because there’s too much emphasis on the mechanics of how diving works, which most people will not know much about, but those are integral to the plot. I question why the underwater city backgrounds look like a surface city despite the fact that they were allegedly designed to exist underwater. The sound and music are lovely, though I think the whale noises become very repetitive most of the way through. There are a couple typos and/or missed words here or there, and there are a lot of loose threads which I wish I understood the relevance of. This isn’t really horror - it’s not spooky, or anything. But it is really beautiful. Lastly, I think there are perhaps a few too many moving parts that aren’t fully tracked or understood by the player without extra thought? I don’t know if you intended for the game to be longer, or more complex, but it felt like there were moving parts possibly working behind the scenes, but either we shouldn’t look at them, or we should be able to see them and also manipulate them. That’s just my opinion, though. Great work. EDIT: the casino background image is also missing.

just take your 5 stars and leave, there is nothing for me to critisize.

I like it, it's well written. I wish I could go and fulfill my brothers mission though...

One thing I didn't like is that part with the pipes, which is basically just random chance of you losing the entire game, I think that could have been designed better.

Wow, I'm impressed by the amount of worldbuilding and artistic work in such a short amount of time :) Also, great to see horror doesn't always have to be about dark rooms and monsters!

Theme: Deffinetly scary for some, I like the water tho. It was atmospheric though

Fun: Very much enojyed the story

Game Design: Tight design, few nice mechanics with stats. Really enjoyed it.
