BEATFORMERView game page

An autoscroller platformer where the beat is key. The music and the ennemy layout is pretty chaotic.

In what way does your game fit the theme?
The more chaotic the music is, the more stuff is happening on screen.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I made all the code myself, but I did reuse a sprite sheet for my character.

Pretty difficult, but stylistically very cool! Would love to see a more polished version of this in the future!

Super good idea but very difficult. I really like the art style too!

I really love the idea and the game mechanics. It takes a while for me to get used to the beat mechanics so it's quite difficult at first, definitely a steep learning curve, but a really nice game nonetheless.  Also, nice graphics. Great job!

I like the idea so much! But it was a bit hard to play sadly. I love the art style and the music as well. Very well done!

Developer (1 edit)

Hi developer here, terribly sorry that I made such a mess of a tutorial/level, if you're struggling please have a look towards the showcase video ...  Thank you for playing either way ^^

Music and graphics are cool. Gread idea behind gameplay, but controls are uncomfortable.
Total: 4/5

It looks FANTASTIC and the music is very atmospheric but it's too hard to control with mouse + arrow keys, I couldn't get very far in it.

Really like the concept couldn't really figure out how to get past the second part of the tutorial but there is a lot of promise with this game
