How does your game fit the theme?
You are the storm and have to manage the calm lives the cities enjoy. Destroy cities and gain energy. But be careful. Destroying too much of a city and you will struggle keeping yourself alive.

I had to update the last version a few minutes after submission (long build time) to fix the available skill points as there were none and no possibility to get any. Now you can at least try the skill upgrades.

I'm looking forward to hearing your feedback, as this is my first game jam submission. Thanks for playing and enjoy.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
City assets from Synty Studios.

I love the twist of playing as the storm. I think having the storm's energy bar decrease faster throughout the game would make the experience more exciting and make the power-ups more useful. Still, the innovation and theming here is impressive.

Good game! Just needs some sfx and more balancing (the upgrades) :)

Please try out my game too and leave a honest rating, thank you.

Took me a couple of times to figure out which direction to head at the beginning, but then I got to destroy some building! Good game!

This game is great! With some proper splash art and screen shots, it should be getting the attention it deserves in no time.

Like the other comment said, some SFX would go a long way! If you plan to do more work on this project, maybe a simple combo system would be a nice addition.

  • Gameplay: There is not much variety when the game progresses, it would be cool if  the cloud could raise up and destroy the taller buildings that it could not reach before or something like that, but it's understandable to focus on the core gameplay first in a game jam. Also you can buy a lot of upgrades right at the beginning - it does not feel right for me. Destroying the buildings feels very good though - it is polished.
  • Graphics: top notch for a game jam
  • Music: It would be satisfying to have some neat sfx when destroying houses. The jolly bg music is funny, considering that you literally turn the city into dust (and I like it lol)

Overall I really liked this entry and I hope that you find my opinion useful!

Thanks for playing and the great detailed feedback. I agree on the progression. Typical game jam crunch. I had more planned. I added the upgrade points at the end of the jam, because I didn't have the time to implement a way of earning skill points, yet had already implemented the basic upgrade system. It was more of a placeholder, so you could see how the system worked :D

Glad you enjoyed the choice of music. I was going for the juxtaposition of destroying the city but with a jolly backdrop. I also had sfx for destroying the houses, but the music is too loud so you can't hear them if your not zoomed all the way in.

I will keep all this in mind and learned a lot for my next game jam through this experience :)

I think it's pretty fun, it was cool to destroy the buildings as the storm and upgrade the cloud as well. I did get it placed far away from any buildings but restarting the game fixed it. Nice job on the game!

Hi, what do you mean yours is less than ours? You're game feels good, looks good, job well done! Don't be to hard on yourself because you have a great submission! :D

Nice to hear that, thank you. I think I got some feature creep. Wanted to have so much more done, but I'll just take that as motivation. Thanks for playing :)
