How did you interpret the theme?
By using a 4 shade green scale palette, 8 button controls and the Gameboy's 160 X 144 Resolution. The game itself is a throw back to the original Gameboy's version of Harvest Moon.

Controls:

"WSAD"= Direction Movement
Left Arrow = Action Key 1 ("A") - Will Till The Field before planting Seeds
Right Arrow = Action Key 2 ("B") - Will Plant Selected Seeds
Up Arrow = "Start" Button (Start From Title Screen)
Down Arrow = "Select Button" - Will Change Selected Seed Type
Seeds can only be planted while the player is on the farm field, and only after the soil has been tilled.

How was your experience in this jam?
It was enjoyable. Was not able to finish as much as I had hoped, but learned a boat load of new skills along the way.

Given the time constraints and being a solo dev, you did a wonderful job! The control scheme isn't intuitive, but feels really nice once you get the hang of it. Visually it captures the era perfectly.

I did notice you can till and plant over the fence tiles (but can't walk on them). Just thought I'd mention it in case you were going to work on it more.

Thanks for the reply! :)

I noticed the issue with the fence too, just ran out of time making sure the crops would grow properly. First game jam learning curve, I’m sure I’ll be better at dividing up my time on the next one I do.

I loved the day and night cycle concept.... I struggled with figuring the control scheme out.. but then I realized you had it over on the game download screen... overall a good experience

Thanks for the comment!

Yeah, had an easier control scheme in mind, but the darn week went so fast, I had to prioritize getting every function assigned to the button.
