I like the idea of defeating enemies in order to make breadcrumbs as you explore. Unfortunately, combat did not feel good to engage with so defeating enemies wasn't something I enjoyed. The sword swing is slow and awkward, and you have very little control over whether or not you get hit by a wolf.

It's very frustrating when you discover something but end up dying and unable to find where you were because the world is so dark. I get that the theme is "light vs dark", but maybe the darkness shouldn't be so literally dark (or maybe the player character should give off more light?).

Good job on the 3D modeling. I don't know what was homemade and what were free assets, but everything looks really good (from what I could tell in the darkness).

Just tested it and i was like "yes ... but ..." :/

The design, the music, the sound effects, the intro and the art were very appealing, i thought about a ton of things that would happen and i was very excited, but then in game i just didn't know what to do, except running into darkness and killing wolves to sustain, with no hints or real indications that tells me if i was in the right direction, if i was progressing ...

Actually, there is potential in that game, but to me this is not a project for a jam game, because it needs too much work to be polished enough to match the level of art and sound, but also to explain the story correctly, without making players feeling lost. It IS a great idea for a bigger game however, and i would love to see this game in a bigger form if you mind continuing it, because again this game has potential.

Finally, the game was lagging a lot for me, and this is probably due to the objects rendered in the background, so maybe try disabling them if they are not on screen, this will improve performances so much !

This is still a good work by the way, keep it up :)

Hey thanks for taking the time to play the game! Really appreciate your compliments on the music and sound. I totally agree with your critiques, I think this was a little ambitious for a jam but could really be amazing as a full-scale game. The jam did help us get started on a jumping off point, though, and we definitely plan to put together a more complete version.

It looks and sounds beautiful! Unfortunately, it's not really fun to play at this moment. The gameplay needs a lot of polish, but I do believe this has a potential to be a really great game!

Thanks for the kind words about the sound! Agreed that the gameplay needs polishing but there's really tons of potential in the idea
