hey there! welcome to #bitsyjam 100!

bitsy's 10th anniversary is coming up on october 15th 2026 and to celebrate i'm hosting an extra-special, extra-long jam!! so get ready for.....

~ 100 days of 10 years of bitsy ~

the jam starts on october 15th and run for 100 days, ending on january 23rd 2027. use that time however you want - make a giant bitsy over 3 months or make a tiny bitsy game in one hour, whatever you want!

also, feel free to use any version of bitsy you want. speaking of which, you should really check out..

~ the bitsy archive ~

the bitsy archive is a new part of the bitsy website containing working versions of every single released version of bitsy (aside from the most recent one). so if bitsy v7.12 is your favorite version, now you can use it again!

got a game you started making with bitsy v4.1 and never finished? hanging onto a hack that only works on bitsy v6.3? now's a good time to dust those off and make something with them!

~ rules ~

i don't want to make a ton of rules, so let's keep it simple:

  • submissions must be made with (any version of) bitsy
    • i've allowed other bitsylike engines in the past, but for this one let's stick with bitsy itself <3
  • that said, hacks and extensions of bitsy are ok!
    • make a multiplayer bitsy game, make a bitsy museum game, combine bitsy with twine - as long as bitsy is involved, you're good :D
  • no hate / bigotry / etc
  • no usage of genAI / LLMs
  • no spam

if you break any of these rules your game will be removed!

~ thank you <3 ~

ok, there's one more thing i need to add: this will be the last #bitsyjam!

(or at least the last one that i personally plan on hosting... of course nothing is stopping anyone from hosting their own jams - and in fact i encourage it :D)

so i just want to say, if you've ever participated in a #bitsyjam over this past decade - thank you so much! <3
