This is theme the good bitsyfolk of twitter asked for, so here we are! :P
Anyway, join us for the June Bitsy jam! This is the 15th monthly #bitsyjam - to participate just create a game (of any size) using Bitsy with the theme "Space Whales".
Theme
The theme is "Space Whales" but you can interpret it however you want! You can make the theme central to your game, or just a tiny reference.
Not familiar with the concept? Space whales are basically giant aliens that live in space.. that look like whales! You could:
- Make a game about a space whale spotting trip
- Being a space whale!
- A society that worships space whales
- Or anything else you can imagine :)
So tell me more about "Bitsy"
Bitsy is a little editor for little worlds or games. You can use it to make a game in your browser just by drawing it! If you're new to Bitsy and don't know where to start I recommend reading Claire Morley's Bitsy tutorial. If you want to see games people have made with Bitsy, there's a big list of the games here on itch.io. There is also a discord channel with lots of helpful people where you can get inspiration and ask questions!
