Good

Thank you! Would you mind telling us what was “good” in our game? Feel free to criticize anything you disliked in the game. :-)

Congratulations on your game! It's a very nice action/platformer game and I'm a big fan of the aesthetics/music, beautiful and very polished.

If I had to suggest an improvement, I would suggest making it a bit easier, like with more player life or some way to regenerate your health. Also some platforming phases were very punishing like the one on the screen below, like if you fall you have to restart from the beginning.

But anyway, very good job again, congratulations to your team.

Thanks for the nice feedback! We wanted to have checkpoints and powerups to account for the difficulty but ran out of time :( Deeper levels are intentionally hard though ;) You regenerate max health on picking up the blue flower.

Pretty good! Encountered the bugs mentioned by the previous commentators. The controls does not feel good to control but it is fine. Found a bug (assuming that it was unintentional) you could stay on top of the monsters. The music and artsyle is pretty good.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! It's intentional, you need it to go past some of the hurdles if you go in the underground :)

Thank you for your feedback! We fixed the bug with the dying screen.

Would you mind telling me what changes you would make so the controls feel better? :-)

It doesn't feel natural when you move; Probably make it so the player doesn't instantly stop(Something like the movement in Super Mario Bros. For reference).  Anyways, it was pretty good for the timespan  that it was made!

I definitely want to add more game feel after the jam is over. Your advice is going to help me a lot. Thank you!

Very nice art, and I like the idea of going up and down. Fighting the creatures is a little hard control-wise, and much like the other commentator I encountered similar bugs (died on a spike and screen faded to black). Nice overall!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback. Yep, sorry for the bugs, we were ambitous and kept adding more stuff and didn't leave enough time for bugfixes.

Thank you for your kind feedback! We fixed the bug with the dying screen, sorry about that. :-)

We’re very new in game making, and we’d really appreciate your input about the controls: what changes would you make to make them better? :-)

Hey, no worries, happy you fixed  it!  I'm in the same boat (started with games about a month ago) so I know it's hard to implement things the way you really want to. Control wise I would make the weapon a bit faster or add some knockback to the creature (so you have a little more time to recoup if you're cornered). I'd also love to have some way to get back some life earlier in the game so I can keep going for longer. Once again, great job! :)

Developer

Interesting advice, thank you! Getting health earlier in game was a thing we planned but didn’t have the time to implement. Peter, our game designer wanted to make a challenging game and I guess he succeeded. ^^

Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you for your feedback! We just fixed the first bug you mentioned. :-)

You’re totally right with the behavior of the spikes, we just didn’t had the time to improve them before the end of the jam.

You said the controls where a bit clunky: what changes would you make to make them better? :-)
