well idk what is the end goal or what i should do inside it to win, is it just to kill this flying boids to win or there is no win at all.
the game wasn't really that fun it was buggy, especially inside this random spawning tubes/tunnels, but i found a way to go outside this tubes/tunnelsby just do 180 rotation.
The controls wasn't good, it was hard to control and was slow to react to follow the tubes/tunnels flow.
also i wished there was sound, like i think the game created to destroy the boids, so maybe an action motivation music and a sound for the laser but it was empty like the real space you can't hear anything in it.
But once i went outside the this tubes/tunnels i found it was mesmerizing and it was relaxing to just look to the boids moving in the space far away. but if i left it too much it acts like a PC stressing mode. it keeps create boids while moving in space, that my PC went from 600+fps to 18 fps in more than 30 min.
anyway GJ for the submission, and the theme was there, so that was a plus point for you :)
I definetly agree with all the problems youve pointed out. And there are a lot of missing features, but i like that you think its mesmerising :) .
Hi, I've tested your game. I don't find it really fun, but it is REALLY relaxing, and finally a game with ZQSD controls (even though, I would have used the mouse to control the character) !
The game lacks music though and I don't understand what we have to do, except wonder around (maybe that was what we were supposed to do ?). I think you should add a goal to the game.
Also, the boids' movement are really great ! Awesome work !
A goal would probable instantly make this game more playable. and about ZQSD? I presume you mean you have a different layout to QWERTY? A perk of using the new input system is that I can set controls based on keyboard location, not what letter you pless. (Im not actually if thats something that can be done in the normal control system.) I did want to have independant aiming and flying controls but maybe youre right, and I need to make the controls more intuative.
Yes, my computer uses an AZERTY layout as it is more common in France. But since this jam was mostly for english people, there were more games with QWERTY layout !
Playable, matches the theme. At least mildly interesting for a short bit. Could have *really* used some sound though.
Playable is all I was looking for xD. I always forget about sound until its too late. At least I know for next time to manage my time better.
Didn’t know what was happening most of the time, but i didn’t care, I was busy enjoying it. So gorgeous and at the same time simple. and the movement of the boids, simply marvelous.
With a bit more time for fleshing the game out I'm sure it would be a bit more clearer as to what's going on. This was more just a experiment. As for the Boids, I have Sebastian Lague's video on them to thank.

Ya definitely! Really great visuals too, I played this for quite a while just enjoying the twists and turns and flight controls. :)
